The Linguaphone Business English course uses the Business Case Study method typical to MBA programs. There are 12 cases, highlighting a different business situation. The cases are spread out over 15 countries/regions of the world, so you learn a range of realistic business dialogues from across the global spectrum. The case studies are based on topical, true-to-life business situations e.g. job interviews, increasing market share, franchising and management buyouts. Each case presents a strong storyline and uses dramatic techniques to involve and motivate the student.
On completing the course the learner is able to: Read and understand articles in trade and professional magazines; Read and respond to letters and reports in English; Read and understand documents and contracts of agreement in English; Draft documents, reports, business plans and letters in English; Present a case or argument clearly; Persuade other people to a specific point of view; Understand and answer accurately all the questions asked; Be polite and firm in discussions and negotiations.
